Poilievre is a mini Trump too and Europe respectively my birth country Germany? It could be facing more war not only in Ukraine or be overtaken by the far right too. The US just abandoned all of us. I am not surprised but I am totally stunned that others are. Project 2025 and the first 4 years plus all the warnings from former generals and Trump admin staff? When I talked to work colleagues on 2016! And said that Trump is using the Hitler playbook and also his vocabulary, they were looking at me as I was insane. It took him 8 years to finally get there. 🙏🙏 praying for all of us
I may be naive but I envision Canada preserving its sovereignty allied with the Nordic Baltic Nations. Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Iceland, Latvia, Norway and Sweden. Together they are powerful, alone they are isolated and vulnerable. We are large geographically, and extremely small in population, less than the state of New York.
The Nordic States are a super power together. If they are willing to prop up the EU, with Canada as a ride along, then democracy could still hold on the European front while Norway, Canada, Iceland and Greenland can hold the Arctic front.
This is my dream.
Ukraine will be preserved by this coalition and in that, democracies will prevail.
I keep thinking - you know the wealthiest states (apart from Texas & Florida) are blue and I keep wondering at what point a line will be crossed, an action taken on behalf of the American people that is so vile, so reprehensible and corrupt - so evil, even - that those states (and possibly more) decide that they can't wait for the courts, that they have the power, the right, and the obligation to rise up. Personally, for me, it would be shaking hands with the devil. Vladimir Putin is as evil as he is treacherous. What does it say about the GOP that they're eager to do business with him. That's sulphur you're smelling, not fresh air. What good Christians this murderer and his admirers be. They'll forgive anything, so long as you're not woke. Because DEI is the devil's work.

Olga, thank you for using your expertise to document what is truly happening. Your work is so important. The days go by so quickly and Trump and his cronies do extensive damage daily. It seems their goal is death as well as destruction of democracy. We can’t trust what we eat or trust flying. And we could get bird flu or measles. I think of Biden trying to arrange matters to protect Americans. He should have used his own immunity to do something drastic like making it impossible for Trump to run for office again. I often wondered if he had thought of that.
The coup has not yet crushed all opposition but it's perilously close. If it succeeds, there might well be a new dark ages if climate change doesn't collapse civilization first.
Keep up the reporting. I always seem to read a new bit of information that is missed amongst all the mayhem. It seems obvious that with all of these authoritarian actions they will not cede power . I am seriously believing there will not be a next election.

I mean how anyone could even remotely believe this no matter how much of a Trump fan they are is crazy. And now the traitor has thrown all our Afghan allies under the bus with shutting down CARE. It was bad enough in Trumps first term he made the deal with the Taliban which then lead to the disastrous withdrawal during Bidens term but now he has stranded our Allies and their families who are being hunted by the Taliban. He has betrayed everything America stands for.
